In the midst of a hectic week, I caught a glimpse of my daughter working on her personal project: drawing a 2000 petal flower. She was so dilligent and deliberate about drawing and counting each petal. Every time she would complete a session, she would jot down the number of petals completed thus far. At the start of her next session she would count up from that number and replace the previous number. It took her 4 days to get to 2000 petals.
It's times like this that remind me how important it is to focus on the smaller things...taking it one step at a time.

Here are a few handmade ornaments that my girls and I made for our tree. Hope you and your family are partaking in plenty of merry making!
These are pictures of beautiful people I will never have the opportunity of meeting. But thanks to Kiva, I have the priviledge of making a small loan to each of them which I believe will have far reaching impact to their family, their community, their village, and ultimately, to humanity.
