I received a very precious gift this Christmas - this vintage fairy tale book from the 70's. The exquisite illustrations were done by a twin sister team: Janet and Anne Graham Johnstone. And boy oh boy, were these ladies prolific! They illustrated some of the most magical children's books ever published!
The details on the clothing is so unreal! I find myself wanting to sew patched up knickers with suspenders, detailed pinafores with fluffy skirts, and of course yummy velvet blazers cropped at the waist. And where can I get shoes like the ones above - with gigantic buckles on them?
