It started as a tiny speck of an idea. I got me some felted balls and got me some wire!!!
I was wondering if it would be possible to string up the balls with wire... then suddenly I was imagining a chandelier made entirely out of felt balls.
If you're like me, it's hard to put ideas to rest, so I dove right in and started poking holes through my felt balls, shaping and twisting wire, then reshaping some more. I emerged a few hours later with a fairly crude but decorative felted ball chandelier. And now feel an urge for an even more elaborate felt ball project in the near future.
For now this hangs in my kids' room.
